Our service to teachers is absolutely FREE. Our ultimate goal is to help Baltimore teachers secure housing that fits their personality and needs. We currently have over 150 properties throughout Baltimore. We specialize in charming row homes with lots of character.
How we Help
Whether you’re interested in one of our available homes, are looking for other teacher roommates, or don’t know where to start, we’re here to help. By filling out our Teacher Interest Form, we’ll have your preferences, you’ll be put into our system, and our Teacher Community Coordinator will be your personal support contact.
Schedule a Showing
Our Teacher Community Coordinator will contact you with our availabilities that meet your preferences but the best way to schedule a showing for a property you’re interested in seeing from our Available Now page is to reach out to us directly with an e-mail to info@teacherprops.org
Application
We make the onboarding process seamless. No application fee, we won’t pull your credit, and we can handle securing one of our rentals for you in 3 days or less. All we need is proof of employment, a screen shot of your credit score, and our two page basic application which can be found in the link below!
1st Month rent deferred payment plan
The struggle is real… new teachers need to start their lease during the summer but will not receive their first paycheck until September. That is why we offer to spot new teachers first month’s rent and have them pay us back in three equal payments in September, October, and November. Roommates!
Sharing a large rowhome or apartment with one, two, or three other young professionals is a popular and frugal choice of living for our teachers. In addition to saving money, living with roommates can provide added safety, support, and friendship as you explore Baltimore and everything it has to offer.
For roommate matching this year, we’ve launched a 2026 Teacher Props Roommate Matching Form. This self-service roommate matching pool allows teachers in our community to share information about themselves and see the results of others in the same boat seeking roommates to allow our teachers to connect and form groups. This is a "living form" meaning that results will continue to be added throughout the leasing season. Our team will be available to answer questions and support roommate matching, but teachers will be taking the lead on connecting with potential roommates.
